Full-Time Sales & Business Development Manager Metals Industry
We have an opening for a Sales & Business Development Manager experienced in the metals and mining industry focusing on the aluminum, steel, and foundry industries.
We are looking for a motivated and successful sales professional with a background in metallurgical engineering and technical sales holding a proven track record of success; who can make a significant contribution selling our existing products; determining customer needs for new products; and for establishing new client business. As the Sales and Business Development Manager you will be expected to assume a proactive sales leadership role in developing and maintaining comprehensive interaction with our customers.
This person will serve as the face-to-case contact between Standard Resources and our customers. Frequent travel to support existing customers and establish relationships with potential customers and suppliers is required.
The Sales & Business Development Manager is responsible for planning and executing activities to grow sales in the assigned markets. This includes analysis of marketing information and leads, exploration of prospects, calls on existing and potential customers, planning customer visits and presentations and coordinating Standard Resources materials in support of those sales efforts.
This position will be based in Cherry Hill, NJ or for the right candidate can be a remote work position. The individual will be responsible for developing new business and servicing existing clients in support of Standard Resources sales, research, and logistics departments.
Requirements for qualified applicants include:
A minimum of 5 years of Technical or Commercial Sales / Metallurgical Engineering experience
Bachelors Degree in Metallurgy, Geology, Engineering, or Materials Science preferred
Metals industry (aluminum, steel, and foundry) experience preferred
Ability to meet established business goals and deadlines
Proven track record of developing a strategic sales strategy and building new business
Ability to develop and meet sales forecasts
Proficient technical skills including use of MS Office and CRM software
Must be a self-starter
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Ability to travel extensively, including overnight.
